Terms of Service

0. Plain-English summary

This is a free entertainment tool. It analyses photos entirely inside your browser. It is not a paternity test, not medical advice, and not an identification service. You agree to use it only for fun, you agree not to upload photos you don't have the right to use, you agree disputes are resolved by individual arbitration, and you agree the site is provided AS-IS with no warranty. If you don't agree, don't use it.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using whodoilooklike.net (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

The Site is directed to users who are at least 18 years old or a parent or legal guardian uploading with the consent of anyone pictured. If you are under 13, do not use the Site. If you are 13–17, use the Site only with a parent or guardian's supervision.

3. What the Site does — and doesn't do

The Site runs machine-learning models entirely inside your browser to score facial resemblance between photos you provide. It does not upload, transmit, or store your photos, biometric templates, or derived embeddings on our servers. The Site is provided for entertainment only. It is not a paternity test, genetic test, medical service, identification service, forensic tool, or evidence of any biological, legal, or medical relationship. You agree not to use any output from the Site in any legal, custody, immigration, medical, insurance, employment, or identification matter.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:
  • upload any photo you do not own or do not have permission to use from every person pictured in it;
  • use the Site to harass, stalk, defame, or harm any person;
  • upload any sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise abusive imagery;
  • upload any imagery of minors without parental or guardian consent;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute the Site's models or code;
  • use the Site in violation of any applicable law.

5. Your content — and your license

You retain all rights in the photos you select. Because the Site processes your photos entirely inside your browser and does not transmit them, we do not receive a license to your photos and make no claim to them. If you generate a share image using the Site, you are responsible for how you share it.

6. Intellectual property

The code of the Site, its visual design, and its compiled output are copyrighted works. Open-source components used by the Site are listed on the Third-Party Notices page and retain their original licenses.

7. NO WARRANTY

The Site is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or continuous availability. We make no representation that the Site's similarity scores are accurate, meaningful, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Site shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, reputation, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the site shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater (noting that the Site is free).

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator and its affiliates from any claim, demand, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party (including the rights of anyone pictured in a photo you upload).

10. Dispute resolution — individual arbitration; class-action waiver

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the issue in good faith for thirty (30) days.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and we agree that any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Delaware, or another mutually agreed location, or by videoconference.

You and we each waive the right to participate in a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding.

Opt-out: you may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hello@whodoilooklike.net within thirty (30) days of first using the Site, stating your intent to opt out. Small- claims court actions are excluded from this arbitration agreement.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any court action permitted under Section 10 shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

13. Severability; entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
