TL;DR
We don't want your photos, can't receive them, and don't store them. The AI runs entirely inside your browser tab. Everything below is the boring detail.
Who we are
This site is operated as an independent entertainment project. You can reach the operator at hello@whodoilooklike.net or via our contact page.
What we do not collect
- We do not upload, receive, transmit, or store your source photos. The face-analysis AI runs entirely in your browser — the photos you pick never reach our servers. (See "What happens when you share" below for the one exception, which is opt-in and does not involve your source photos.)
- We do not store face crops, biometric templates, facial landmarks, embeddings, or similarity scores derived from your photos.
- We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use the Site.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
What happens when you share
When you tap a Facebook, X, or Email button on a result page, your browser uploads the rendered result card — a single PNG we generated from your result — to our Cloudflare storage. We return a short share URL that the social platform can scrape to build a post preview with your card as the image. The rendered card contains small crops of the faces from your photos. Two important limits: (1) your source photos are not uploaded at any point — only the already-rendered share card, and (2) the uploaded card auto-deletes from our storage within about an hour. The social platform keeps its own cached copy of the preview, so your post keeps working indefinitely even after our copy is gone.
The Share and Download buttons do not upload anything. Share opens your device's native share sheet with the card attached locally; Download saves the PNG to your device.
What runs on your device
When you use the Site's analysis features, your browser downloads a small set of open- source neural-network model weights (about 6 MB the first time; cached after that) and runs them in-browser using WebGL, WebAssembly, or CPU via TensorFlow.js. Your photos are held in short-lived browser memory (as blob URLs) only while you use the page, and are discarded when you close the tab.
What we measure
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. It tells us aggregate metrics such as page views, approximate country, and referrer. It cannot identify you, build a profile of you, or see the contents of your session. Cloudflare also operates the Site's hosting and edge network; its network logs record standard information such as your IP address, transiently, for security and operations.
See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Advertising (when enabled)
If and when we enable ads via Google AdSense, your browser will load ad code from Google. Google may set cookies and similar identifiers to serve, measure, or personalize ads in accordance with its own policies. You can manage your preferences at Google's ad settings. While ads are not yet enabled, this paragraph does not describe current practice — see the "Last updated" date for changes.
Retention
We retain no personal information about you on our servers. Aggregate analytics collected by Cloudflare are retained according to Cloudflare's retention policy, typically for a limited time.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information. Because we do not collect personal information in the first place, there is nothing to sell or share. If ads are enabled in the future, advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads; you can disable personalization via the links above and via browser controls.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information a business has collected about you, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Because we do not collect, sell, or share personal information, the practical answer to each request is the same: we have no personal information about you. You may still exercise your rights by emailing hello@whodoilooklike.net. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.
Is this a user-generated content site?
Mostly no. We do not receive, store, host, or serve any source photo a user selects — face detection and matching happen on the user's device using neural-network weights their browser downloads. The only user-associated content we host is the short-lived result card PNG that uploads when a user explicitly taps Facebook, X, or Email (described above), and that card auto-deletes within about an hour. We do not host user comments, user accounts, user-submitted text, user-posted media galleries, or any other persistent user-generated content.
Visitors from the UK and EU
If you visit from the UK, EU, or EEA, the only processing that occurs is the aggregate, cookieless analytics described above, which we rely on as a legitimate interest in understanding usage of a free entertainment site. No personal data leaves your device. Data- subject requests can be sent to hello@whodoilooklike.net.
Children (COPPA)
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact hello@whodoilooklike.net and we will investigate and respond. Because we do not retain photos or biometric data, the practical answer is usually "we have nothing to delete" — but we will still investigate.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS from Cloudflare's edge. Neural-network models are served with standard integrity protections. Security reports may be sent to hello@whodoilooklike.net. See also our security.txt.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
